Summary:
The BR600 competes with the best of the commercial backpacks

Strengths:
I use the BR600 commercially and it is a great blower that produces a huge volume of air 712cfm at the end of the pipe and 201mph.It starts easy and is very comfortable.

Weaknesses:
The BR600 has a huge volume of air 712cfm at the pipe but needs a few more mph wind speed to break loose the stubborn wet debris. Also needs a larger fuel tank for us commercial users.

Summary:
One of the best commercial backpack blowers available today. Will handle any commercial blowing job you can throw its way (or if it won't handle it then you should be looking for something larger than backpack blower!) Comfortable, easy to use.

Strengths:
Powerful. Easy to use. Reliable.

Weaknesses:
Can consume a lot of fuel compared to smaller blowers, but it does a lot of work. Little pricy for what many would want to pay for a blower - really meant for the full time lawn care worker.

Summary:
....I think this was the best machine for the job i need it to do and i love the way it handles. this will scale concrete if i asked it to. I am a large man and it will through you off balance if your not careful. you will need sound and face protection. I use stihls chainsaw hard hat with sheald and earmuffs. Dont short change yourself and get a lesser model, some overkill can still win the war. If time is important, this stihl Br600 will get the job done in no time .

Strengths:
....I purchased this machine to move snow from a 500 ft board walk. That I was sure would be damaged by a snowthrower. I have been able to pulverize the snow and move very quickly, through light snow up to 5 in, with ease. The sound is well below that of most string trimmers, and am able to talk over the machine when in idle speed. So far this machine will scale away most foot prints from the side walk and leave very little trace of snow. The gas tank has a very good tank top and does not leak at all, so you get no smell of fuel, Very good.

Weaknesses:
...I have used this machine almost exclusively in very cold weather, Last week -16 below. A conventional leaf blower is used in moderate weather or temps. when i use the br600 I am wearing a large coat a small pullover jacket wool shirt and quilted thermals. This makes putting on the back pack very hard and the strapps get tangled easly. Stihl should talk to some one about the ease of donning the backpack in full gear. Its also very hard to see the carb settings on the out side of the machine when it is early Morning , low light. The straps for the back pack have a loop to put your finger in to to adjust for comfort and fit, all well and good except when you have the back pack on you cant see the loops and they lay quite flat, so you have to remove your gloves to adjust the strapps.

Summary:
We use to clean up tree removals and stump removals.. look in our gallery for pictures at www.executivelawnandtreecare.com . Love this blower.

Strengths:
Best machine for working in tree industry. We use it to clean up after tree removals and after stump removals. It really moves the sawdust and wood chips!! We have used for tree leaves as well, works well on any leaves to clean up as well. Need to have hearing protection and face protection. One of most powerful blowers on market.. In fact there is maybe only one that has more power than this one.. and we don't have a reliable dealer for that brand close by.

Weaknesses:
Uses a lot of fuel. Can run out of fuel if tipped.

Summary:
not past stihl quality

Strengths:
Lots of power, starts great when it runs

Weaknesses:
Lots fuel problems with the BR600. Ive been a stihl owner for 20 years both comercail and res. This use's same amount of gas as any high rpm blower, but the carb, the fuel lines, the pick up coil etc all have had to be replaced in two years. It back in the shop as i write this again won't run off chock

Strengths:
Easy to start, light, powerful, 4-stroke, everything works great!

Weaknesses:
Goes through a lot of gas but does a lot of work per fuel tank.

I went to get a 450 and the dealer so me the 600 for the same price. I own a large farm ranch. pushes piles of leaves with these. Got it home from store and spent three hours cleaning up with no problems. Did not use hearing protection and no ringing in the ears tonight. no fatigue either.

Strengths:
Great on wet leaves. Easy to hold. Lightweight. four cycle makes it fairly quiet.

Weaknesses:
like everyone else says, it uses a lot of fuel. Less than one hour on a tank

Summary:
You decide how it should be rated, replacing fuel lines are simple and quick repairs on other brands but not on stihl blowers. Very long and expensive repairs. I give it a negative 33.

Strengths:
None, as you'll soon realize, I'm not a stihl fan, however please take the time to read these stihl facts.

Weaknesses:
No matter what kind of equipment you own, replacing fuel lines will need to be done every few years. The br 600 blower has SIX, yes 6 lines that work with the fuel system, that's insane! Let's count them, (1) line from gas filter to fitting in top of tank, (2) line from fitting to carb (3)line from primer to carb (4)line from primer back to tank (5) breather line/grommet from air filter to carb and finally (6) another breather line from carb to cylinder. Another negative is these have valves that will need routine adjustments.
